But…she’s hot!

I don’t think this is the real reason people are drawn to Palin, but I’m sure it doesn’t hurt. I also don’t think Harriet Miers’ lack of sex appeal had anything to do with her not being named attorney general. It might have had a lot more to do with something that’s also plagued Palin; namely, not displaying the requisite knowledge, ability and temperament to do the job.

That said, expect to see this op-ed take a lot of flack in the coming days. I predict there may be pushback from the right and left on this, mostly because it is, well, pretty sexist.
